Not to self: don’t buy a book recommended from a book you didn’t enjoy, even if that book has a great title and recommendation from the author like The Appearance of Power by Tanner Guzy.
There was no point to this book. The subject was clothing and appearance, but no real-world, modern advice or actionable info.
I made a single note in 120 pages: “..default colors that are worth sticking with. These are white, grey brown, blue black, and burgundy.” (p. 77)
That’s the peak of actionable advice you’ll receive in this book. Even when hinted at, the author doesn’t go into any detail rending the entire book a total waste of my time.
Did you know I’m an author? I wrote four books on real estate investing, travel, and language learning.
