Built From Broken

Welcome to my Built From Broken summary!

One-Sentence-Summary: coming..

I’m currently reading Built From Broken by Scott Hogan. Current page: 164

Although I liked this book, part of the reason why is that there’s so few books on this subject. However, with recommendations like, “Carve 20 minutes out of your day for a walk”, this book is written for the average, unhealthy officer employee.

booboo real-time book rating: ★★★★★ (percentage of books with this rating: 4%)

In Chapter 5, there was a really interesting description of Biosphere 2, a dome made of steel and designed to be self-sustaining from 1987-1991, which described trees falling under their own weight. The observers attributed it to the lack of wind that would have fortified the trees with stress wood. “Stress creates resilience.” (p. 151)
