It was not nearly as humid as I would've expected. Although "touristy" the only direct flights in the world are from Bogota, so if you plan to arrive and book a tour, good luck. This was not easy for me becuase it's not really that touristy becuase of the few flights going there. I went on a night walk the first night by myself with a guide, which was actually pretty cool. You'll see in the photos images of glowing mushrooms and moss in the pitch black darnkness in the middle of the Amazon rainforest. The next day I went to Puerto Nariño which reminded me why I don't do tours. It was an all day tour 4/5 of which was taken by travel time and watching indiginous groups do a dumb dance for 3 minutes, stick a tip jar in front of you, and sell you mostly useless items. Puerto Nariño is cool, a walking villarge about 2 horus up the river from Leticia, worth a half-day visit. The gym in town was surprisigly nice, there are a few nicer restaurants. The Colombian side is way better than the Brazilian side. If I go back, I will stay on this hotel floating on the lake and just chillout for a few days.
