A little slice of paradise. BC has everything: nature, great gyms, family friendly, a giant beach (many beaches!), day trips, a Ferris wheel, Ferraris, bowling alley, nice coffee shops, safety, cleanliness, great dining and shopping, even a space museum. The architecture was stunning. Here was my Airbnb, highly recommended.

Air Quality: 16 (very good!)

Tap Water: 92ppm (could be better)

Dew Point: 72F/22C (humid; dew point is a better measure for humidity)

Favorite Coffee Shops: Blend Cafe, Cafe Aristo

Favorite Acai (no sugar, hard to find): Acailand

Investment Perspective: This city has a lot going for it, with a bright future. The city's organizing/planning/safety seems to have evolved out from other Brazilian standards. It's family friend, with a mix of young and old folks. The city has plans for the future, including renovating the beach walk and adding indoor skiing. There's already a ton of acvities including a gondola to access a beach, ferris wheel, and more. Unfortunately, this is no longer a hidden gem at $450+ per sqft with non-beachfront new constructions. If you have $1.5+ million for investment, this city is poised for growth. The two biggest downsides are location (14S separates it from most of the world; 8 hours to North America; 10+ hours to Europe) and the weather (1,700mm of annual rainfall puts it above most Latin American capitals).

There is a free yellow bus going in each direction on the two closest roads to the beach (each one-way)
Saturday and Sunday, there is a DJ at a beach between Praia Brava and BC starting from 3pm: Amaité Restaurante
Lots of French restaurants. Why are they all fancy, tiny portions, served rare, and everything on the menu is obscure?
Morro do Careca is a super easy 15-minute hike with an epic view (you can do paragliding there without an appointment)
No dogs allowed on the beach for some reason..
City population balloons 4x to one million in December to February, and Airbnb prices triple.
One Tower (80 floors) is the tallest building in Brazil, second tallest in Latin America. They are constructing a 140 floor building.

I tried the following restaurants (in order of prerenrce): Brava Sushi, Tetto Rooftop, Taj Bar, Le Poulet Rouge, Paris 6

Barra Sul is the richer area, but the entire city is clean, safe, walkable
