Pro Tip: buy a SUBE card if you will use public transit

• More bookstores per capita than any other city in the world (700 bookstores)! Also 280 theatres, one of the most.
• Lots of night time activities that don't involve drinking: tango, language exchanges, theatres, casinos, and, my favorite, many culutral centers that are actually popular and cool
• Even the men kiss each other on the cheek to say say hello and goodbye
• Many of the small streets have no stop signs at intersections. When they do, they seem to be almost entirely ignored by the drivers. Also, no road lines to separate the car lanes.
• Everything is late here! Lunch at 3pm, dinner at 9pm, bars at 1am
• Free bikeshare! Pretty cool. Download BA Ecobibi
• Uber is illegal in all of Argentina. Booo, Argentina! BOOOOO. Two thumbs way down.
• (Some) places do actually close at 2pm!
• ATMs charge $10 to withdraw money! Unacceptable
• Tons of dogs. Aparently, 60% of homes have either a dog or cat. You will often see someone walking 3+ dogs
• July 9 Avenue is the widest road in the world with 14 lanes, plus 4 lanes of parallel streets
• Unique! The buildings, the interiors, the signs, all unique. If you don't like one cafe, there is another down the street with a totally different layout and vibe (alternatively, I was just in Rio and all the cafe's basically looked exactly the same, all the beach side shop, exactly the same, etc.)
• Almost all apartments have a balcony
• The cars pull up very close to the crosswalks at stoplights
